TabTrade - What It Is
Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
His background tells you something. It says the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is preferable to a random name you cannot trace.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres institutional desks use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, shares, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is not narrow.
What You Trade On
They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Having both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, EAs, massive community. If you have traded on MetaTrader previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the alternative. Better depth of market. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. A lot of traders find it more natural once they try it.
FIX API is there for algo traders but needs the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView is apparently coming. That will make the platform set when it lands.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your real cost can be under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not for most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
This is the thing this broker stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.
Does it matter? If you scalp, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That says what kind of broker this is.
Combine that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
The FSRA Question
Here is the part that requires honesty. TabTrade is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No government-backed safety net. If that makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
But. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. That does not guarantee anything. It does be part of your decision.
The deal: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.
The Bonus
TabTrade runs a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You fund your account, they credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: trading volume requirements before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you commit.
